Our annual songwriting camp offers students the unique opportunity to explore their own ideas and express themselves in different styles of music. Students will learn how to write songs in different genres, including: folk, rock, blues, punk, and more. They will learn how to write original lyrics and chord progressions, how to work on a song as a band, and what makes a “good” song sound so darn good. Songwriting is both challenging and exciting for everyone involved. Students will get the opportunity to perform their original works in front of their family and friends at the end of the week. There will be a lunch break during each day of camp, so feel free to bring a bagged lunch! For ages 9-17.
